Imamen Abu al-Hanifa, som levde samtidigt som Hans Excellens och var ledaren för Hanafi-skolan, återberättas i boken A’lam al-Nubala, vol. 6, s. 257 och i boken Tarikh al-Kabir, vol. 2, s. 199, ha sagt:

Malik ibn Anas har även återberättats i samma källa, vol. 6, s. 258, ha sagt:

”Ingen har förekommit i någon människas hjärta och inget öra har hört talas om någon som är dygdigare och värdefullare än Jaafar ibn Muhammed.”

Muhammed ibn Abd al-Rahman, som är känd som Ibn Abi Layla, sa följande till Hans Excellens efter att han talat med Imamen, samtidigt som han själv var en rättslärd, traditionsåterberättare och Kufas kända domare:

”Jag vittnar att ni är Guds argument över Hans skapelse.”[2]

Jahith, den kända skribenten, säger:

”Jaafar ibn Muhammed är den vars kunskap och rättslära fyllde världen.”[3]

Ibn Khalkan säger i boken Wafiyyat al-A’yan, vol. 1, s. 327:

”Hans dygder är fler än vad som nämns.”[4]

Mir Ali Hindi, som är en av Ahl al-Sunnahs kända lärda, säger:

”Imam Sadiq (fvmh) var en aktiv forskare, stor tänkare och bekant med tidens vetenskaper och den förste i islam som etablerade islams filosofiskolor.”

Imamen utförde en del saker samtidigt för att sprida kunskap och utveckla kultur och civilisation såsom:

1 – Moral eller utveckling av värden

2 – Uppfostran av elever

3 – Diskussioner med religioners och inriktningars ledarfigurer och teoretiker

Varenda en av dessa kategorier kräver en mer djupgående förklaring.

Kultur och civilisation anses av nutida vetare vara en grupp kunskaper, traditioner, åsikter och orienteringar. En hållbar utveckling av kultur och civilisation måste vara allsidig. Imam Sadiq (fvmh) uppmärksammade denna viktiga punkt. Därmed gav han vikt åt alla vetenskapliga inriktningar.

I den väldigt värdefulla boken ”Ta’sis al-Shia li ’Ulum al-Islam” står det bl. a. följande:

”Vetenskaper som Imamen strävade för att etablera och sprida inkluderade allmän språkvetenskap, historia, biografi, traditioner, korantolkning, rättsvetenskap, metodik, teologi, moral och gnosticism.”

Men de viktigaste forskningarna som västerländska islamforskare utfört och de vetenskaper som de anser Hans Excellens vara grundare för eller dess spridare är medicin, kemi, kosmologi, astronomi, filologi, gnosticism, geologi, historia, historiefilosofi, biologi, patologi, optik, miljö, drömtydning, filosofi och visdom och kinesiologi. Dessa punkter finns med i många sidor i boken ”Al-Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq fi Nazar ’Ulama wa al-Gharb”.
